About Khelaghor
Khela-ghor . ‘Khela’ which means play , ‘ghor’ means room . A room to play , play with your imaginations, your visions , your choices , your passion . This was the main motive behind ‘khelaghor’.
I always loved designing...
I always loved designing, decorating, revamping my space . Aesthetics always intrigued me. Everyone, almost all loved the way I decorated my home, friends family loved my home and always appreciated. They even asked for tips and suggestions for their homes. Whenever I see a space, in my mind I start decorating that space, with decors and furnishings and colours. It is my favourite way of spending time with myself. It is mostly this love which gave birth to ‘khelaghor’, a home decor and home furnishing unit of Aronnyok.
How it started
During covid and during lockdown when we were all sitting at home with mostly no work I started getting involved more in household chores and revamping my home. There was a beautiful Bengal Weaved Jamdani saree my mother-in-law had, which she wanted to discard. I made curtains out of them and loved the outcome. Friends and family loved it. That was the time when I decided to start Khelaghor, a home decor and home furnishing unit.
We used to hand paint umbrellas for long. We now paint umbrellas, make handcrafted bags, table linens, bed linens, Dewan sets, curtains, cushion covers, mirrors etc. at Khelaghor. All are handcrafted and are a reflection of our imaginations and visions and our love for aesthetics.
