CSR

I collaborate closely with ‘HANSHI – KHUSHI,’ an organization led by Urna Bose, dedicated to nurturing skills among both children and adults on the autism spectrum. Taking the initiative, I approached them, and Urna di’s response was incredibly supportive. Our joint efforts, involving the talented students of Hanshi-Khushi, resulted in the creation of numerous products for Aronnyok. This marked their inaugural venture into the commercial sphere, instilling them with newfound confidence to further their endeavors. The assortment includes exquisite hand-tie-and-dye stoles, dupattas, and sarees, all skillfully crafted by the Hanshi-Khushi artisans, garnering widespread admiration.

“Shraboni Datta a name to reckon with … She was the first lady who came to me and asked me whether together we can churn out some unique creations. I was a bit apprehensive but she was very confident. She gave us a platform by showcasing the talents of the HANSHI KHUSHI team in her boutique ARONNYOK and thus the journey began. A big thank you to this vibrant lady for trusting these young artisans and carve a place in the community,..HANSHI KHUSHI salutes you”

— kind and beautiful words by Urna Bose , director of HANSHI-KHUSHI.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Aronnyok joined forces with TRIBAL CONNECT, an organization committed to uplifting tribal communities in the North-eastern and some parts of South India. The pandemic had cast a shadow over the tribals, leaving them grappling with dire circumstances—lack of work, food, clothing, and the harsh impact of monsoons and impending winter. During this critical period, I reached out to Ananya Dodemani, a distinguished social reformer with extensive experience in tribal welfare and the director of TRIBAL CONNECT.

Our collaborative efforts led to the inception of the ‘WOMB’ project, a heartfelt initiative wherein we supplied dresses for children up to the age of 5. Through appeals to my clients, we collected surplus fabric scraps that remained after our dressmaking endeavors. With these materials, we crafted approximately 250 dresses. Witnessing the images of joyful children and their parents, their smiles radiating as they held these dresses, brought immense satisfaction. The distribution was carried out by the dedicated volunteers of TRIBAL CONNECT, reaching even the remotest villages.

Aligned with the ethos of Aronnyok, I am resolute in my commitment to further collaboration with organizations. The goal is to facilitate skill development and mutual cooperation. As part of this journey, I envision organizing workshops, providing a platform to share my expertise, techniques, and methodologies. Through these endeavors, I aim to amplify the impact and reach of our collective efforts.
